butterfly quilt (side a)
scrap fabrics, mostly cotton but some of the mending patches are velvet. the hand painted and appliqued butterflies and the embroidered text are original to the quilt (made in 1988). most patches were mended with applique in 2022 and a new back and new hand quilting was done.
